Lisztomania Movie Review

ken wakeman rick russell

Lisztomania is a movie to avoid, with a score by Rick Wakeman that would horrify Liszt. The conceit here is that Franz Liszt (Roger Daltrey) was the first pop star. If you can handle that, you won't have any trouble seeing Ringo Starr as the Pope, either. Director Ken Russell is way out of control with this tasteless schlock. He would next tackle the life of Rudolph Valentino. woof!
