Marin brings his Bruce Springsteen-parody song to life as he plays a mistakenly deported illegal alien who struggles to return to the U.S. Suprisingly resolute effort by the usually self-exploiting Mexican-American. Stern is the American expatriate who helps him get back and Lopez is the love interest who stalls him.

Born in East L.A. released in 1987, with a run time of 85 minute. This movie was inspired from the Bruce Springsteen parody song. Some facts on Rudy (Cheech Marin): he’s an American of Mexican decent who was born in East L.A. When Rudy gets caught up in an immigration raid in a factory, doing a favor for his cousin gets deported to Mexico as an illegal immigrant. The bad thing is that he has no way have proving he’s an American Citizen. Now he has to come up with a clever plan to get back home to the U.S.
