Dated but still interesting classic wartime flagwaver details the conception and execution of the first bombing raids on Tokyo by Lt. Col. James Doolittle and his men. Look for Blake Edwards, as well as Steve Brodie in his first screen appearance. Based on a true story.

This is a superb film. The characters are very real, and the pacing of the movie is flawless. this is one of the better films based on real-life events. There is not a wasted word of dialog, and the action sequences are riviting. This is a "must see" for anyone who appreciates heroism at its best.
