The Burning Bed

This is a true story about a wife who is both verbally and physically abused by her husband. It's very sad to watch and see someone get treated this way. Farrah Fawcett does an excellent job as the battered wife caring for her kids, husband and house. There are so many sad scenes. One scene she decides to go to school and the husband gets angry and destroys her school books. The family could always tell when the dad was going to explode and Farrah would tell the kids to leave the room. During the winter the family dog was having puppies and the dad wouldn't let her in so the dog and puppies died. Finally, so distraught from abuse, she sets her husband's bed on fire when he is asleep one night. Good ending!
