Hombre is one of the all time best westerns ever made. If you like 'em tough, this flick has a whole host of cold hearted adult characters. Newman shows why he is such an idol. In addition, this movie produced the classic line: "Badges? What badges? We don't got to show you no stinking badges!". Yep, it came from Hombre. If you are a Neuman fan you HAVE to see this flick. I guess there's no grand ideas in play here, but it is a damn good flick that bears repeat viewing. Good acting by all, and a quirky plot line that is a tad chilling in the end.
