I watched this movie when I was a kid and now that I have children of my own, I think it is one of the few movies that really had an impact on me and I would love to share it with them. It was amazing at that time for me to see a child survive with such resilience and be able to put to practice learned skills. It is an excellent example to children of how much they control their own destiny.
