A lonely young boy helps a warrior save the fantasy world in his book from destruction by the Nothing. A wonderful, intelligent family movie about imagination, with swell effects and a sweet but not overly sentimental script. Petersen's first English-language film, based on the novel by Michael Ende.

The NeverEnding Story came out in 1984 and has a total running time of 94 minutes. Barret Oliver, Noah Hathaway, Moses Gunn and Gerald McRaney star in this adventurous film. Bastian is a young boy, who enjoys reading. At school he’s usually bullied around a lot and doesn’t have many friends. But when he goes to his local bookstore, the owner shows him a magical book. This book isn’t your average book. If you read it, you’ll actually enter the book. The book is about a place called Fantasia. This place is doomed and needs a hero! Will Bastian be that hero and save the day?
