Father/daughter (Coburn, Stanwyck) con artists, out to trip up wealthy beer tycoon Charles Pike (Fonda), instead find themselves tripped up when Jean falls in love with the mark. Ridiculous situations, but Sturges manages to keep them believable and funny. With a train scene that's every man's nightmare. Perhaps the best Sturges ever. Based on the story "The Faithful Heart" by Monckton Hoffe. Later remade as "The Birds and the Bees."
