I was amazingly taken by this first rate action/thriller. All of the performances are solid with Bronson especially good in an understated, low key performance. The cinematography is terrific giving the film the kind of literal chill it needs to set the mood. Jerry Goldsmith's rousing/haunting score got unfairly snubbed at Oscar time. Are the academy voters deaf? If there's a better opening theme to set the mood/tone of the film, I've never heard it in any other movie. Kudos to everyone involved in this unpretentious, but thrilling adventure. Yakima Canutt gets special kudos for choreographing the memorable Bronson/Moore fight atop a train.
