1776 came out in 1972 and has a total running time of 141 minutes. This film is a musical comedy starring William Daniels (as John Adams), Howard Da Dilva (as Benjamin Franklin), Ken Howard (as Thomas Jefferson) and John Cullum (as Edward Rutledge). 1776 originated from the Broadway musical of the same name. This film is about America’s first Continental Congress. The film is set in 1776 and the days leading up to America’s Independence. It shows the guys writing the laws for the Declaration of Independence and such. This was a good musical. I remember watching this film in my history class.
