Spoiled, alcoholic billionaire Moore stands to lose everything he owns when he falls in love with a waitress. He must choose between wealth and a planned marriage, or poverty and love. Surprisingly funny, with an Oscar for Gielgud as Moore's valet, and great performance from Minnelli. Arguably the best role Moore's ever had, and he makes the most of it, taking the one-joke premise to a Oscar nomination.

Arthur Bach (Dudley Moore) loves his life as a rich playboy and his family is tired of his irresponsible ways. They decide that if he wants to inherit his fortune, then he must marry wealthy Susan Johnson (Jill Eikenberry) or lose his money. Of course, Arthur agrees and proposes to Susan. Now everyone seems happy until the unexpected happens. Arthur meets a poor waitress named Linda Moore (Liza Minnelli), falls in love with her, and must decide between wealth or happiness. This 1981 comedy is a really funny movie and the actors are great in their roles.
