Notable as among the first in a very long series of slasher flicks, with effects by Tom Savini. A New Jersey camp reopens after it's been closed for 20 years after a history of "accidental" deaths. And the horror begins again. Six would-be counselors arrive to get the place ready. Each is progressively murdered: knifed, speared, and axed. Followed by numerous, equally gory sequels.

For some reason, I think a lot of people enjoy the Friday the 13th movies. I even enjoy watching Friday the 13th movies around Halloween time. What's funny about this movie is how cheesy it is now. Friday the 13th is definitely a slasher horror flick. It's a about a camp that's been closed for many years. The camp is located near Crystal Lake, where Jason drowned. Jason comes back to kill the soon-to be camp counselors when they head to the camp to set it up for reopening. The movie has been popular for many years. So I'm sure you'll enjoy this movie as well.
