Darby O'Gill & the Little People Movie Review 1959

Set in Ireland, roguish old story teller Darby O'Gill (Sharpe), whose also the caretaker of a large estate, tumbles into a well and visits the land of leprechauns who give him three wishes in order to rearrange his life. When he tries to tell his friends what happened, they think that it is only another one of his stories. Connery plays the youhg man who takes Darby's job and courts his daughter (Munro) as well. A wonderful Disney production (despite its disappointing boxoffice performance) with wit, charm and an ounce or two of terror.
