Film version of the hit Broadway musical about summer love. Set in the 1950s, this spirited musical follows a group of high-schoolers throughout their senior year. The story offers a responsible moral: act like a tart and you'll get your guy; but, hey, it's all in fun anyway. Followed by a weak sequel.

Grease came out in 1978 and has a total running time of 110 minutes. This film originated from the popular Broadway musical. John Travolta (as Danny Zuko), Olivia Newton Channing (as Sandy Olsson), Stockard Channing (as Betty Rizzo) and Jeff Conaway (as Kenickie) star in this great film. This film has a mixture of comedy, romance and of course music! This film is set in the late 1950’s. Grease is about the love between Sandy and Danny. They met over the summer and she and her family were supposed to move away at the end of the summer. Well, not anymore, she ends up going to his high school that following fall. Sandy is a good girl, a real sweet heart and Danny is the leader of the T-Birds who is considered a “bad boy”. Sandy runs into him at school and he didn’t act the same at first because he wanted to keep up with his bad boy reputation. They miss each other, so they soon try to act like one another so that they can be with each other. Love makes you do crazy things. In the end, they act their normal selves and live happily ever after. I really like this movie. I like the cast and the songs are really catchy. The storyline is great as well. Grease is just an all around great film. It's probably my favorite musical film so far.

Grease is always going to be a favorite of mine even if it is a musical. I don't know anyone who doesn't like this movie. I normally don't like old movies either but I love this one! Sandy and Danny meet on vacation and spend the summer together. When the summer is over, they both go back home and go on with their lives. Sandy's family moves and ends up at the same high school that Danny goes to. When they are reunited, Danny acts totally different because he is in front of his friends and want to seem cool. Throughout the movie, Sandy and Danny are on a love roller-coaster. Their friends help them out with their problems and by the end of the movie, they both tried changing to make the other one happy. High school is over and they drive away in this really cool car that flies!
