Andy (Hathaway) is a small-town girl who gets a job in Manhattan as the new assistant for fashion-magazine editor Miranda (Streep, who looks chicly predatory), a woman who's number one on the bad boss list. Based on the chick lit book by Lauren Weisberger, who was an assistant to "Vogue" editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Not that there's any resemblance whatsoever. Not yet reviewed.

This movie is kind of good but also not good. I'm not a fan of Anne Hathaway, so that being said made it harder to watch. Andrea is your normal girl who doesn't dress to impress, and lives with her boyfriend, Nate. Her dream job is in journalism. She interviewed and got the most famous job of that type. Andrea was the second assistant for Miranda, the editor in chief of Runway Magazine. This job is a huge challenge in Andrea's life because she has to change her clothes and self-image to please her boss and colleagues since this is the fashion industry. This job is so demanding that it takes up all of Andrea's time, keeping her from seeing Nate and her family. If you compare Andrea at the beginning of the movie and at the end, she becomes a totally different person, and one that Nate doesn't like because she became who she didn't like. She definitely learned a lot of life lessons at this challenging job.
