The charming Smith tackles romantic comedy to amiable effect as the title character. Alex "Hitch" Hitchens is a professional dating doctor, the hero of schlubs everywhere. This time his client is shy, hefty accountant Albert (James), who's in love with Allegra (Valletta), a wealthy beauty far out of his league. While Hitch works on Albert, he's also falling for cynical gossip columnist Sara (Mendes) but his every smooth move turns disastrous in her hot babe presence. Everyone pulls their weight and looks like they're having fun. So should the audience.

Hitch is a great comedy. He helps people find love where normally they would never have a chance with that specific person. Kevin James' character, Albert, is hilarious. He falls for a beautiful and wealthy woman. When Alex (Smith) tries to use his own strategy, the one given to other people, it doesn't work out as he planned. But of course in the end, both guys end up getting the girl they chased after the whole movie and everything is happy ending.
