During World War II, Camille (O'Neal), a Louisiana widow with two kids, Blue (McCullough) and Florida (Chabert), takes a job as an assistant to an exiled German doctor. They are both outcasts, she because of an incident years before involving her husband, and he because he is German. When German U-boats begin attacking ships in the harbor, they both fall under suspicion. Complicating matters is Florida's romance with a Nazi-hunting Coast Guard ensign. A little disjointed, and the conclusion isn't exactly believable, but the movie looks good, and has a great sense of the time and place. It should, as director/writer Pitre based it on stories he heard growing up in the same town in which the tale is set.
