Christensen loses the Jedi robes to take on a character lured by a less-mystical dark side. Wunderkind Stephen Glass, a young New Republic journalist, is found to have fabricated 27 of the 41 articles he'd published. He also goes to great lengths to give truth to the lies, falsifying phone numbers, creating a bogus website, keeping fake notes. First-time director Ray was in close council with the principals involved in the true tale and does a fabulous job keeping the depiction believable. Background as to what drove him to it is all that's missing in this journalist suspense story.

The movie, Shattered Glass, released in the year 2003, with a run time of 99 minutes. Shattered Glass has a rating of PG-13. Stephen Glass (Hayden Christensen) is a young New Republic journalist. He’s a great writer but what no one knows is that 27 of his 41 published stories weren’t entirely true. They were either partially true, or sometimes completely false and made up. He thinks nothing will stop him on his way to fame, that is, until someone starts to notice. Soon, his whole world will shatter and come undone.
