Cliched and crass college comedy of suave coed Van Wilder (Reynolds) who gets cut off by his dad (Matheson, in a nice bit of ironic casting), who realizes his son's seven college years have not yielded a degree. The universally adored, high-profile, frat house toastmaster then uses his charm to helps fund his education by helping the underprivileged undergrads meet women and have fun--for a price, of course. A circus of gross-out jokes and sight gags that would make the Farrelly brothers blush ensue. Reid is typically vapid as the lackluster Lois Lane college reporter and love interest. An unrated version is also available.

This movie is hilarious! ... and Ryan Reynolds is hot! Any movie with him is awesome. He is just another one of those college players that throws the awesome parties and never wants to leave the college life. He seems to literally be going nowhere with his life. When he is finally about to be kicked out, he meets a special girl and his life seems to just turn around. But now there are some guys that I know who claim to be another Van Wilder, but they are seriously retarded and full of themselves.
