Ambitions collide in this saga of the L.A. music scene. Savvy and unscrupulous young singer Gwen (Gordon) is determined to land a recording contract while a group of middle age rock stars (Taylor, Des Barres, and Kemp) want to recapture their fame--with music producer Burt (Klein) as their catalyst. There's also struggling studio musician Carl (Doe) and his woes with Latina singer, Rosio (Cavazos) and various other subplots--none of which hang together terribly well.
