Writer-director Darren Stein steals the plot from "Heathers" and adds a dash of S&M for this black comedy about high school clique queens. Courtney (McGowan) is the leader of a group of glam princesses who accidentally kill one of their own during a mock kidnapping. Fellow beautiful people Julie (Gayheart) and Marcie (Benz) help her cover up, but class nerd Fern (Greer) is a witness. Further complicating things are nosy detective Vera Cruz (Grier) and the upcoming prom, which provides a "Carrie" style finale. Although the movie treads familiar ground, McGowan's performance keeps it interesting. Cameo by rocker Marilyn Manson, billed as Brian Warner.

The movie Jawbreaker was an ok movie. It was kind of dumb. It's funny, don't get me wrong. I found some parts funny. But the storyline kind of stinks. I mean, the movie is kind of unrealistic. But then again, a lot of movies are unrealistic. Anyways, the movie Jawbreaker is a chick flick that I'm sure you'll laugh a bit during the movie. I've seen the movie a few times. It's not my favorite, but if it comes on television, I'd probably sit down and watch it again. I think it movie is more for the high school crowd.
