Cartoon bigwig Mike Judge tries his hand at live action in this satire of white collar corporate drudgery. Peter (Livingston) is a drone for a software company well on his way to a nervous breakdown when a hypnosis mishap opens his eyes. He becomes so apathetic toward his job that he can't even muster up the energy to quit. His new no-work ethic is mistaken by a pair of corporate headhunters as "middle-management potential," and he is promoted as his pals Michael (Herman) and Samir (Naidu) are laid off. Frustrated in his attempts to be down-sized, Peter hatches a plot to embezzle the company. Stephen Root, as disgruntled nerd Milton, steals scenes like they were office supplies in an unlocked cabinet. Adapted from animated shorts made by Judge before the Beavis and Butthead gravy train rolled into the station.

Office Space came out in 1999 and has a total running time of 89 minutes. Ron Livingston (as Peter Gibbons), Jennifer Aniston (as Joanna) and David Herman (as Michael Bolton) star in this fun comedy. Peter Gibbons works at a company called Initech. He feels that nothing ever goes his way in life. He visits a hypnosis who puts him in a trance that makes him worry free. Suddenly, the hypnosis dies right after he puts him in a trance. Now Peter is stuck in this trance! He goes to work and slacks and doesn’t feel the need now to work. This just so happens to be during the time the company is laying people off. His bosses like the new Peter and keep him and let his two friends Michael and Samir go. After that, the three came up with the idea to hack into Initech’s computer system and put money from Initech’s account into theirs.
