Carrey takes on one of his less manic but still appealing personas as compulsive liar and attorney Fletcher Reid. A constant disappointment to his ex-wife Audrey (Tierney) and young son Max (Cooper), Fletcher is forced to tell nothing but the truth for 24 hours, thanks to his son's supernatural birthday wish. This puts a crimp in his legal practice, especially as he tries to defend brazen would-be divorcee Samantha Cole (Tilly). Gets kinda sappy but Carrey can carry almost any situation.

Jim Carrey makes every movie he stars in great! He's such a funny guy. The movie Liar Liar is hilarious. His character, Fletcher, can't lie for 24 hours. That's kind of hard to do for him, since he's an attorney. It's pretty funny to see him go through the whole day with out telling a lie. He tries, but his son's wish was that is dad couldn't lie for 24 hours. This movie is probably not appropriate for young children. It's definitely aimed more for an older crowd. If you enjoy Jim Carrey movies, then you'll enjoy this one. It'll make you laugh.
