Air Force pilot Vic Deakins (Travolta) rips off a couple of nuclear weapons during a routine exercise over the Utah desert. Deakins' ex-co-pilot Riley Hale (Slater), with help from spunky park ranger Terry Carmichael (Mathis), sets out to find and retrieve the warheads before the big bang. Hong Kong action king Woo once again tries his hand at the big-budget Hollywood action extravaganza, with mixed results. Triple script whammy of cheesy dialogue, continuity problems, and predictability undercuts, but doesn't obscure, his talent for choreographing mayhem. Travolta plays the All-American Boy as creepily charming psychotic to great effect.

This is an alright movie, but it’s not my favorite John Travolta film. Major Vic Deakins and Captain Riley Hale are Air Force pilots flying with nuclear warheads over a desert in Utah. Vic tries to kill Riley but fails and they destroy the airplane. They have a broken arrow situation meaning that the nuclear warheads are lost. Vic and his gang plan to steal the warheads and use it as a threat in order to receive millions of dollars from the government. Riley and Terry, a park ranger, are determined to find and stop Vic from killing hundreds of people.
