World's friendliest ghost appears on the big screen with outstanding visual trickery (from Industrial Light and Magic) and a lively, if hokey, story. Evilish Carrigan Crittenden (Moriarty) inherits ghost-infested Whipstaff Manor and hires scatterbrained "ghost therapist" Dr. Harvey (Pullman) to get rid of its unwanted occupants. His daughter Kat (Ricci) is soon the object of Casper's friendly attention while the good doc must contend with Casper's mischievous uncles--Stinkie, Fatso, and Stretch. Exec producer Spielberg shows his influence with numerous topical gags and screen references that help amuse the adults while the ghosts work their magic on the kiddies. Silberling's directorial debut; based on the comic-book and TV cartoon character created more than 30 years ago.

Casper the friendly ghost is now in a movie! Casper came out in 1995 and has a total running time of 95 minutes. Malachi Pearson (voice of Casper), Christina Ricci (as Kat Harvey) and Bill Pullman (as Dr. James Harvey) star in this fun family comedy. Dr. James Harvey and his daughter Kat move from town to town a lot. Dr. James Harvey deals a lot with the paranormal life as well. When he is hired to exorcise ghosts in a big old mansion, they Harvey’s pack up and move once again. Once in the mansion, Kat becomes good friends with a young ghost named Casper. Casper’s uncles, Stretch, Fatso and Stinkie aren’t so friendly. These ghosts haven’t crossed over yet. Can Kat and her dad help these ghosts cross over? I used to love watching this movie when I was younger. It's definitely a fun movie for children.

This is a really good kids movie about a girl named Kat and her dad that is a after-life therapist that have moved around a lot since Kat's mom has died. They finally move to this huge haunted house because her dad was hired to try and get rid of the ghosts. When Kat meets the ghosts she isn't afraid at all and her and Casper become friends and start to like each other. Casper gets to be human again for Kat's party but turns back into a ghost. Casper's uncles Stretch, Fatso and Stinkie want to drive the "fleshies away" but Kat and her dad help them cross over to the "other side". The special effects of the ghosts are good and little kids won't be scared at all.
