Based on the true story of five American cavalry soldiers who find themselves being phased out in the 1935 Army. Ordered by General Douglas MacArthur to destroy their horses, they instead try to outrun an elite tank division to get some 400 horses to safety in Canada. Rugged performances and the violence towards the horses is aptly disturbing. Filmed on location in Australia and New Zealand.

The kind of heroes you wish would be voted into office. Men with integrity and honor make, possibly self-destructive choices to do the right thing. Don Johnson, one of the most underrated actors today, gives an outstanding performance as Sgt. Libbey. If you love horses and heroes, this is a must see.
