Legend of Tom Dooley came out in 1959, based on the hit song by the Kingston trio. Legend of Tom Dooley is a great western movie with a run time of 79 minutes. Not knowing that the Civil War has ended, three Confederate soldiers kill two soldiers. They also robbed a union stagecoach. Now, Tom Dooley (Michael Landon) is a rebel soldier on the run from the law. Many people enjoyed the song, but they didn’t care much for the movie.
