Some very odd casting in this historical tale of heroism and swordplay about a Spanish nobleman who leads his followers against the invading Moors and their evil king (Crawford). Based on a 13th century poem.

Based on a 13th century poem, The Castilian, was made in 1963. The movie has a run time of 128 minutes. The movie is super funny and I’m sure if you like comedies from the 1960’s, then you’ll probably enjoy this movie. The Castilian takes place during the 10th century in Spain. Fernan Gonzalez (Espartaco Santoni) became a hero after he led the first successful invasion against the Molsem Moors and their evil king.
