The first American sound version of this film. Excellent cast and interestingly adapted script are perfect for a message that is still socially relevant today. Based on the novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

This movie put slavery in perspective and showed that, although all slaves were not treated with the rights they deserve, some slave owners treated their slaves as family. Although it is kind of old, I just loved the vivid scenes, relatable characters, and deep meaning.
