A Summer Place won three awards. Ken Jorgenson and his family vacation on Pine Island, Maine. He had worked there as a lifeguard when he was much younger. Ken romances with one of Sylvia, an island resident. Their two teenage kids don’t approve and are determined not to follow in their footsteps.
